Cal Rosen

Cal Rosen is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is the former Chief Data Officer at SGI having recently completed a two-year contract to deliver a comprehensive data and analytics program (people, process, technology, and data) from a standing start. In over 25 years as an executive and management consultant, Cal has developed broad hands-on data analytics transformation program leadership experience. Cal has worked with over 40 large organizations spanning strategy and vision, solution and program development, and implementation of complex enterprise programs across multiple industry verticals (i.e., Communications, Retail, Banking & Insurance (P&C and Life), Energy & Utilities, Transportation, Healthcare, Natural Resources, Gaming, Public Sector, and others) throughout North America. Rosen’s expertise runs 5 miles deep with surgical precision (what, why, how and who) in capturing data (business processes, customers & channels), caring for data (data governance, metadata & quality management), exploiting data (cloud-based analytics & insights), and turning insights into action (the moment of truth). Recently, Rosen was instrumental in defining, articulating, and rolling out data strategies and the global data office mandates for two of the three largest international banks in Canada as a data office executive and thought leader.
